WELCOME TO EVERY HORROR MOVIE ON NETFLIX...

...the podcast where Chris, Patrick, and Steven fulfill their dream: to watch, discuss, and review EVERY HORROR MOVIE ON NETFLIX from A to Z. Hidden gems, revered classics, and real-life horrors all await in the depths of the queue. Catch new episodes every other Thursday, join the online discussion, and even keep up with the watch list at home... if you dare.

Pizza

This week Steven and Patrick go 1-on-1 to discuss PIZZA while Chris experiences real-life body horror. We’re not talking about Little Caesar’s or Domino’s, but the 2014 Indian film that follows a pizza delivery driver during a night of supernatural surprises.  Also: Steven recaps THE SUCKLING, NEAR DARK, and SAINT MAUD and Patrick reviews Barry Windsor-Smith’s long-awaited graphic novel MONSTERS.

The Wind

Join us for a trip to the Great Plains as we hunker down and discuss 2018’s austere psychological thriller The Wind.  What spookies lurk in the wind?  Tune in to find out.  Also, the gang discusses THE FACULTY, the “Bailey School Kids,” and the thrill of finding a diary in a horror movie.

Grandmother’s Farm

It’s always nice to get away with the boys, especially when one of them has a grandmother with an ostensible farm away from the hustle and bustle of the city. So hop in the van and join us as we review GRANDMOTHER’S FARM, an Emirati film that delivers comedy, horror, and slice-of-life scenes in unequal measure. Plus: Steven reviews CAVEAT, Patrick reviews “A Head Full of Ghosts” and “The Diving Pool,” and Chris pitches SPIRAL 2: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW.

The Bar

Viral loads are low enough for us to head back to the bar and why not do it with an ensemble cast of the worst people in the world in Alex de la Iglesia’s THE BAR? Join us as we dissect the drama of this people-stuck-in-a-place thriller and the logistics of squeezing through tiny holes. Also: Chris and Patrick review SPIRAL: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW and Steven recounts the time he “met” Hayden Christensen.

Crimson Peak

This week, we’re joined by Very Special Guest Allyson-with-a-Y as we explore the horror— or is it gothic romance?— of Guillermo del Toro’s CRIMSON PEAK. Loki is in the United States again and this time he’s stealing our daughters and taking them to an English mansion with stunning architecture and a seeping foundation. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Also anyone’s guess is why Chris is talking like Daniel Plainview, why Allyson liked THE SHAPE OF WATER if they don’t like “fish love,” how Jim Van Bebber made DEADBEAT BEFORE DAWN without killing all his friends, and why this movie got such a polarized critical response. We dive into all those questions and more– join us!

The Blair Witch Project

This week we’re joined by returning champion Christine as we head off into the woods to investigate the legend of the Blair Witch and the birth of the “found footage” genre. Join us as we re-evaluate (or in one case, evaluate) this landmark horror film and discuss other topics, including Patrick’s fear of curses, the Blair Witch tie-in album, SOUND OF METAL, hometown birthday traditions, Jennifer Kent’s THE NIGHTINGALE, PYEWACKET, Eli Roth, and, of course… THE VATICAN TAPES again.

The Vatican Tapes

This week we explore the secret Vatican archives and learn about the haunting case of Angela, a young woman possessed by dark forces whose compulsion to crash cars and talk to birds results in her putting her life in the hands of the faith-based healthcare system.

In our horror catchup we also touch on THE HOLE IN THE GROUND, PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, SHIRLEY, and the documentary DEMON LOVER DIARY.

Scary Movie V

This week we hop in the wayback machine to April 2013, when all you had to do to make a funny movie was cast Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan as themselves. That’s right, we’ve watched SCARY MOVIE V and we’re together to decipher its dated pop culture references, challenge its cultural representations, and reminisce on some of our great movie-theater-going experiences from the before times.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space

This week, we celebrate a very important milestone: our 100th episode! Can you believe it? But instead of resting on our laurels we’re getting right back to business— reviewing the 1988 camp classic “Killer Klowns from Outer Space.” We also go on a few tangents about Joko Anwar (again), gay Captain America, the X-Men, James Wan’s masterpiece “Dead Silence,” and we look ahead to self-cancelling for our 101st episode.

Apollo 13 & Apollo 18

This week, we choose to go to the moon not once but twice! First, Patrick and Chris chat about the 1995 blockbuster APOLLO 13, which set the standard for lunar disaster movies. Then, we discuss APOLLO 18, the 2011 horror movie about the secret final moon mission… and why we never went back.

But that’s not all! We also chat about USC’s horror webinar series, Joko Anwar, TOURIST TRAP (1979), Ken Russell’s THE DEVILS, COHERENCE, S. Craig Zahler, the career of Gary Sinise, the presidential alien, and how to hunt for meteorites in the wilderness of Western Canada. It’s an episode that is truly out of this world in more ways than one.
